Your Mental Health Matters—This Month and Every Month
May Is Mental Health Awareness Month
Your mental health matters—this month and every month.
Mental health affects how we think, feel, cope, and connect. Like physical health, it can change over time and deserves care and attention. Mental Health Awareness Month is a reminder to pause, check in with yourself, and remember that support is always available.
It’s normal to experience stress or emotional ups and downs. Struggling doesn’t mean you’re weak, it means you’re human. Small actions can make a difference, such as:
- Taking a few deep breaths
- Getting outside
- Resting when you can
- Practicing gratitude
- Reaching out to someone you trust
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, withdrawn, or having trouble focusing or enjoying daily life, extra support may help. Reaching out is a sign of strength, and confidential resources are available.
Supporting your mental health doesn’t have to be complicated.
It starts with small, intentional choices that help you feel more balanced, grounded, and connected. Checking in with yourself, allowing time to rest, and reaching out for support when needed are all meaningful ways to care for your well‑being.
Remember, what works for one person may not work for another and that’s okay. Progress looks different for everyone.
Take a moment each day to ask yourself:
“How am I really feeling right now?”
Noticing your emotions without judgment can help you recognize when you need rest, connection, or extra support and can be the first step toward better mental well‑being
Let’s continue to reduce stigma, support one another, and keep the conversation going. And remember— Best Care is here when you need support!
As a Best Care EAP member, you and your eligible family members can reach out for support.
