At Best Care EAP, we are dedicated to helping organizations support their employees and managers in becoming their most effective, confident, and capable selves. One of the ways we do this is through our extensive library of on-demand webinars and live training sessions - available both virtually and in person—covering a wide range of topics to enhance leadership, communication, emotional intelligence, and workplace performance.
However, we also understand that sometimes, even the most skilled employees may be struggling to perform at their best. Whether due to stress, personal challenges, or workplace dynamics, these situations require a more individualized and supportive approach.
That’s where our formal employer referral comes in.
This service is initiated through the HR department or a direct manager and is designed for employees who have the potential and capability—but something is getting in the way of their success. Coaching in this context is not disciplinary; rather, it’s a constructive, confidential, and goal-oriented process that helps individuals overcome barriers and regain their footing.
Through one-on-one sessions, a counselor works with the employee to:
- Identify and address challenges impacting performance
- Rebuild confidence and motivation
- Strengthen interpersonal and leadership skills
- Set and achieve meaningful professional goals
This process is most effective when conducted over time, allowing for incremental growth, self-reflection, and real-world application. Employer referrals are especially valuable when:
- An employee has the skills but is not currently performing to their potential
- There are signs of disengagement, stress, or interpersonal conflict
