April Epley
Manager, Business Office
April Epley, MBA, has been with Methodist for more than 18 years. She started her career as a Best Care Employee Assistance Program (EAP) secretary and has served in various managerial roles since.
Now, as the Best Care EAP business office manager, Epley supervises staff and manages all accounting and information management activities.
“The thing I enjoy most about my profession is the people I encounter – clients, coworkers and providers – and seeing how I can help them,” she said.
Even though she doesn’t provide counseling services, she said she still has a responsibility in providing The Meaning of Care.
“It’s truly showing that you care no matter what the concern is,” she said. “It’s taking that extra step to assist someone in any way you can – whether it’s just listening, helping with a bill, talking through a situation or helping someone get to where they belong.”
Epley’s free time is mostly spent in the car, driving to and from her children’s practices and games. Her daughter plays select softball and her two sons play football, soccer and baseball. When she, her husband and the kids can get away, they enjoy family camping trips.
