Tiffany Atkins, PCMSW, PLMHP
Tiffany Atkins, PCMSW, PLMHP, is passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion, empathy and without judgment.
During her time as a homeless outreach social worker with the Omaha Veterans Affairs, she gained a deeper understanding of the challenges individuals may face when asking for help. She discovered how meaningful and impactful it can be to meet people where they are with empathy, respect and a nonjudgmental approach.
Atkins – a counselor with the Best Care Employee Assistance Program (EAP) – believes that recognizing the need for help takes courage. She strives to create an environment where clients feel safe taking that first step.
“I believe that fear is often associated with asking for help,” she said.
She values active listening, empathy and respect as essential components of building a therapeutic relationship. Atkins believes that establishing rapport is an important part of the healing process because it creates a foundation of trust between the client and therapist.
Atkins is committed to ensuring that every client she serves feels cared for, heard and respected. Her goal is to create a therapeutic space where clients feel safe, validated and supported as they work toward healing and personal growth.
She desires to help clients challenge fearful thoughts, discover their strengths and recognize that fear doesn’t have to determine what’s possible.
